FIELDWALK AT CROPTHORNE

At the request of Mr Meikle (the farmer) WYAC were invited to fieldwalk Romano British site on his land.  He also brough along masses of pottery and flints that he had collected over many years off the site.  The are area was gridded into 20m squares and all finds collected.  It was VERY hot and hats off (or rather on) to everyone who took part.  News of the pot washing of these finds to come soon.

Everything from prehistoric flints to a Royal Army Medical Corp cap badge were found
